We offer need-based partial scholarships on a funds-available basis to provide a broad range of access to our services.
We serve as a training ground for emerging professionals desiring to work from a Christian orientation
MorningStar Counseling Center began in 1998 as a cooperative effort of Little Bonne Femme Baptist Association and Dr. Susan Murray. Our goal has been to create a place where people of all ages and faith persuasions are welcomed and offered compassionate, biblically based encouragement and counseling.
As we began serving individuals and families, it became apparent that the need extended beyond the Columbia area. People called and came from all over the Mid-Missouri area, from as far away as Kirksville. It became obvious that there was a serious lack of professional Christian counseling by trained providers available in our area.
The need is great. People within and outside the church are hungry for understanding and help as they explore how to heal and resolve the difficulties they face.
